Technical Overview
KCP drying technology utilizes a pneumatic conveying system to feed various sludges (such as sewage sludge, food waste, and livestock manure) into the dryer. The sludges are supplied to the dryer with a dual-stage conveyor system, and then dried at moderate temperatures (around 200℃) to achieve a moisture content of less than 10%. This innovative renewable energy production technology transforms various waste resources into fuel for power plants, contributing to both waste-to-energy conversion and non-CO₂ greenhouse gas reduction initiatives.
Particularly, the dryer operates in a sealed condition to minimize the generation of foul odors. Through condensation and cleaning processes, both particulate and gaseous substances are initially removed. In the final stage, oxidation treatment at temperatures exceeding 850℃ ensures further minimization of odor emissions.
Process Description
The KCP drying technology consists of the following components: introduction and supply facilities for the drying process, sludge drying equipment, drying material transportation and storage facilities, heat supply facilities, drying gas treatment facilities, and odor treatment facilities.
The sludge is supplied to the dryer by a pump from the storage tank, and it is thoroughly dried in the dryer to achieve a moisture content of 10% or less before being stored back in the storage tank.
The heat source is provided through indirect heating using LPG, firefighting gas, etc., and is transferred to the drying system via the primary heat exchanger.
The drying gas discharged from the dryer undergoes moisture removal in the drying gas condenser and cleaning and dehumidification tower. Subsequently, it undergoes high-temperature oxidation treatment at 850℃ or above in the auxiliary heat supply unit. Waste heat is then expelled into the atmosphere after being utilized in the dryer.
The odor control is planned to be implemented through a large-capacity three-stage liquid scrubber tower.
